One strong password everywhere is still risky
A long password protects against guessing, but it does not protect against leaks. If one website gets breached, attackers may try that same password on your email, banking, shopping, and social accounts.

Best move: use a different password for every account.
Length usually beats complexity
A short password with symbols can look strong, but attackers can still test short passwords quickly. Adding more characters creates far more possible combinations.

Best move: aim for 16 to 20+ characters when possible.
Password managers reduce password reuse
Nobody can realistically memorize a different random password for every account. A password manager helps generate and store unique passwords so you do not have to reuse the same one everywhere.

Browser password saving is easy and better than reusing passwords, but it is tied closely to your browser and device. If your device is unlocked or compromised, your saved passwords may be easier to access.

Writing passwords down is not always crazy
Writing a password down can be safer than forgetting it or reusing weak passwords, but only if it is stored securely. A sticky note on a laptop or monitor is not secure.

Multi-factor authentication adds another layer of protection. Even if a password is exposed, MFA can help stop someone from signing in.
